Established by Mervyn McNamara as MV McNamara, Solicitor, the firm began its journey with a strong dedication to legal excellence. Keith James joined the firm in 1946, bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of the local community. Peter James came on board in 1978, followed by Paul O’Connor in 1989, both of whom continue to contribute strategic legal solutions and enhance the firm’s service capabilities. Keith James continued as a consultant until his retirement in 1991. The firm adopted the name McNamara James & O’Connor in 1991, which continued successfully until 2010, when the firm rebranded as MJO Legal, heralding a new and exciting phase in its storied history.
