HISTORY OF THE FIRM
CJM Lawyers, like its directors, was born on the Gold Coast and was created with a view of servicing our clients to the highest professional level with comprehensive expertise and local knowledge.
In 2014, CJM Lawyers commenced through the acquisition of Bruce Graham Lawyers. Bruce Graham Lawyers was originally founded on the Gold Coast by Bruce Graham in 2007. Bruce had previously established a firm in Brisbane in 1979, and consistently provided quality service to clients in the South East Queensland, Papua New Guinea and Northern New South Wales regions for over 25 years.
Due to illness, Bruce sold the practice and the partners have continued Bruce’s legacy by providing expert legal services with a personalised local touch.
In 2017, the partners expanded the firm again and acquired KL Legal to service the growing Northern New South Wales and Southern Gold Coast regions.
KL Legal was founded by Ken Lee in 1995 and is proud to be Tweed's longest serving legal practice. In 2017, Ken decided to sell the practice to enjoy retirement, and the practice has recently rebranded to CJM Lawyers.
The Tweed Shire office continues to employ the solicitors and conveyancers you know and trust, who are largely long-term members of the Tweed area and all have a strong community focus.
The current partners; Kent James, Shannon McLaughlin and Peter Snelgar are all Gold Coast locals, completing their studies and establishing their professional careers in the area.
We are always accessible to our clients. This factor, together with easy access to either office, enables CJM Lawyers to provide benefits not available to clients of the larger city firms, whilst providing equal or superior service and experience.
